Job description

We are hiring an experienced Sales Manager covering Kansas City metropolitan area and Midwest.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Proactively identify and create new business opportunities in the software and IT technology market. Develop a robust pipeline of prospects through networking, cold-calling, and utilizing online resources.
  2. Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners. Understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure their satisfaction to encourage repeat business.
  3. Develop and Implement Growth Strategies: Create and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals, increase market share, and maximize revenue.
  4. Analyze Market Trends and Competitor Activities: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and challenges. Adjust strategies accordingly to stay competitive.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, sales, product development, and customer support to ensure the delivery of integrated solutions that meet client needs.
  6. Negotiate Contracts and Agreements: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors to secure advantageous terms for the company.
  7. Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets by actively seeking out and securing new business and maximizing opportunities with existing clients.
  8. Provide Feedback to Management: Regularly report on sales activities, opportunities, and challenges to the senior management. Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  9. Represent the Company at Industry Events: Attend conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company, establish new connections, and stay updated on industry trends and developments.
  10. Manage Customer Expectations: Set and manage customer expectations to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
  11. Collaborate on Marketing Efforts: Work with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to generate leads and raise brand awareness.

Qualifications:

  • Winning attitude, can-do spirit, evidenced by a high energy level, enthusiasm and passion for success.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • 3+ of successful experience software and solutions sales to enterprise or middle size companies.
  • Experience of building and nurturing relationship with C-level executives.
  • Stable job history is preferred, along with a verifiable history of exceeding quota goals and income.
  • Conduct business problem analysis and high level requirements gathering.
  • Ability to translate business problems into valid business opportunities.
  • Write proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs) and pricing.
  • Strategic sales orientation, documented sales methodology and a boardroom presence.
  • Account Manager role experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to discover opportunities with cold-call, warm-call experience.
  • Must have IT technology solution sales experience.
  • Microsoft BI, AI and IoT technology stack experience is a big plus.
  • Must have experience of using CRM.
